ICA Director-General Charles Gould spent part of June visiting co-operatives in Japan. Making one of the biggest impressions on him was a1000-bed co-operative hospital – Saku Central Hospital — one of the largest in the country with more than 37,000 beds. It is one of 117 co-operative hospitals in Japan. read more

The first World Fisheries Co-operative Day was held in Korea on 16 July. ICFO and KNFC also adopted "The Fisheries Co-operators' Pledge to the Fisherman of the World" to improve the quality of fishermen's lives and to build a brighter future for fisheries worldwide. read more
